William FITT (1753 - 1819) was the son of Thomas's brother, James.

James WARNE was born at Hursley in 1750 the son of Henry WARNE and Anne NEWBY.  Thomas's aunt, Susanna, had married a John NEWBY in 1701 in Winchester.

Thomas was baptised on the 30th October 1722 and received £100 on the death of his father in 1736.
On the 28th July
1754 he married Sarah SNUGGS at South Stoneham
On the 28th January  1772 Thomas took on the lease of  Bakers farm, North End Hursley for 14 years from Sir William Heathcote .
At the same time he took over Little Hansmore (once part of the Dolphin farm), as well as Great Oaklands, Dale Close (or Bakers Close).
From the 10th October  1775 - 1789  He leased and sublet lands of The Pelican, from Magdalen College, Oxford.

Thomas and Sarah had the following children,

  • Thomas baptised 17th September 1756 and buried 22nd April 1779 at Hursley
  • Charles baptised 18th June 1758 at Hursley and married Jane SMITH at Selborne in 1798
  • Ann baptised 8th January 1760 and buried 13th February 1777 at Hursley.

Sarah was buried on the 10th June 1779 at Hursley and Thomas remarried on the 5th April 1783 to Elizabeth SMITH

Thomas and Elizabeth had the following children,

  • Elizabeth baptised 22nd June 1783 and buried 16th August 1802 at Hursley
  • Sarah baptised 10th September 1786 and buried 22nd June 1813 at Hursley

Thomas died on the 29th December 1799 and was buried on the 3rd January 1800.  ELizabeth died on the 13th February 1801 being buried on the 17th at Hursley.
